One less thing to worry about
On a self-build you are juggling designers, Building Control, groundworkers and deliveries. The floor sits right in the middle of that: the foundations have to be built to suit it, Building Control will want to see calculations, and the beams have to arrive at the right time.
We take the floor off your list. Send us the drawings and we’ll produce the beam layout and calculations, give you a fixed price, and arrange delivery when your walls are ready.
How it fits into your build
- At design stage: send us your plans so the floor layout and calcs are ready for your Building Regulations submission.
- Before the foundations: your groundworker sets the wall levels and void depth from the layout drawing.
- When the walls are up: we deliver the beams and blocks, with crane offload if needed.
- Lay and grout: your groundworker lays the floor following the drawing, then insulation and finish follow.
Upper floors too
Many self-builders choose a concrete first floor as well, for quiet rooms and a solid feel. See beam and block upper floors.
